Hathway

Straddling between the traditional and new since 2016. At the intersection of classic roots and the sound of the future, this native D.C. area band consists of biological siblings Joe, Jude, James, Timmy, and Mary Grace Hathway.

While the siblings are all self-taught, some didn’t start playing instruments until their teenage years. James and Timmy picked up the guitar at 13 and 12; within a year they booked their first gig, unpaid, at the local pub. Four years later, they were being flown down to Naples, Florida to perform at the Ritz Carlton. Having taken the stage across the country, they prefer “The Bullpen” at Nationals Park in D.C., their favorite venue.

Hathway has released multiple albums and every member of the group song-writes with contributions to their multi-part harmonies. They are currently focused on creating new music, playing shows, and chasing a vision. Other than music, you may find these band members (depending on whom) playing pickup basketball, shooting pool, painting, hanging out at the local pub, and arguing with each other.
